About me

I'm Simon, born and raised in Montreal. My relationship with tech started early — disassembling and rebuilding computers as a teenager, then gradually becoming the go-to tech person for friends and family. What started as a hobby turned into a career, and I've been down that rabbit hole ever since.

Outside of IT, I'm a traveler. I spent a year in New Zealand on a working holiday visa, then another six months backpacking through East Asia — Thailand, Vietnam, and beyond. Experiencing different cultures and ways of life has a way of changing how you see things, and I wouldn't trade any of it.

I'm also drawn to finance — the stock market, the whole ecosystem. There's something fascinating about trying to understand a system that affects everyone's life whether they're paying attention or not.

Lately, AI has taken over a big part of my curiosity. I want to push myself to actually build with it — not just follow the hype, but use it the way I used computers when I was a kid: to make things, solve problems, and see what's possible. This website is part of that.

Leads infrastructure and cybersecurity across 10+ physical sites as Global Microsoft 365 & Azure administrator. Owns the full stack — network (firewall, switching, Wi-Fi), server infrastructure (ESX, VMs, SAN storage), and cloud — for Centre Bell, the largest venue in Montreal, Place Bell, and major festivals including Jazz de Montréal, Osheaga, IleSoniq, and other Evenko and Équipe Spectra productions.
Network & Systems Administrator July 2020 – July 2025

Grew into owning the network and systems infrastructure across the organization. Managed AD, Azure, and on-site network deployments for major venues and festivals — Centre Bell, Place Bell, Jazz de Montréal, Osheaga, IleSoniq, and other Evenko and Équipe Spectra productions.
IT Technician January 2017 – July 2020

Started in hands-on IT support across multiple sites, handling tier 1 to 3. Over time took on bigger projects: a full Windows 7→10 fleet migration, cloud migration for files and email, remote work infrastructure rollout, and a complete office and server room relocation.
